Anya Kivarkis’ newest work is on exhibit at the Museum of Contemporary Craft in Oregon, through August 15, 2015.
Museum of Contemporary Craft in partnership with Pacific Northwest College of Art (PNCA) presents State of Oregon Craft, opening June 05, 2015 and running through August 15, 2015. The survey exhibition presents more than 50 works by 15 artists, makers, and craft-based companies, curated by Nicole Nathan and Namita Gupta Wiggers.
State of Oregon Craft takes stock of how Oregonians make and live with handmade objects today and presents an exploration of Oregon craft featuring both emerging and established craft artists. The show also features in-depth interviews with makers and photographs of studios and workshops. Curators Nicole Nathan and Namita Gupta Wiggers traveled the state of Oregon with a documentary crew in tow to make an exhibition that celebrates the breadth, diversity, history, and future of Oregon’s artisan makers and communities through the lenses of place, small-scale production, natural resources, community support, and lifeways.
