Everett Hoffman's work makes your days (and nights) brighter.

Everett Hoffman is a cross-disciplinary artist, writer, instructor and curator.  His current body of work examines contemporary forms of protection and iconographic communication, illuminated through lights, sculptural forms, and jewelry. Traditional and nontraditional metals like, zinc, aluminum, steel, bronze, silver, and platinum become substrates for vintage rhinestones and gemstones that have been meticulously set into place. Metal forms take the shape of faces, flowers, and dog tags, referencing a postmodern iconography that is saturated with images and contradictory meanings. The surfaces of metal encrusted with stones offer a new point of view, challenging the status quo of material hierarchy and perceived values.
